Jim Zahansky is Senior Managing Partner and Chief Strategist at WHZ Strategic Wealth Advisors, where he helps lead the firm's strategic vision, client experience, and long-term growth initiatives. Partnering with WHZ's talented team of advisors, planners, investment professionals, and client experience leaders, Jim is focused on helping clients make informed financial decisions and live with greater confidence through every stage of life.
As Chief Strategist, Jim helps shape the planning and advice framework that guides client relationships across the firm, ensuring clients benefit from the knowledge, experience, and perspectives of the entire WHZ organization. Recognized as a 2026 Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor and a Five-Star Wealth Manager, he is passionate about delivering advice that is comprehensive, forward-looking, and aligned with each client's unique goals and aspirations.
Prior to joining WHZ, Jim spent 17 years in senior leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry, where he developed business strategies, led cross-functional teams, and helped drive growth for major national brands. That experience sharpened his ability to think strategically, navigate complexity, and guide individuals and organizations through important decisions and periods of change.
Today, Jim works closely with affluent individuals, families, executives, business owners, and multigenerational households, helping them navigate complex financial decisions while leveraging the collective expertise of the WHZ team. He also helps lead the ongoing evolution of the firm, focusing on strategy, innovation, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. His goal is to ensure every client benefits from an exceptional and consistent experience across every interaction with WHZ.
Jim earned his degree in Business Administration from Bryant University and holds the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor® (AWMA®) designation. He remains committed to continually elevating the advice, service, and planning experience that clients have come to expect from WHZ.
Beyond his work with clients, Jim is actively involved in organizations focused on strengthening healthcare, business leadership, and community development. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Day Kimball Healthcare and has held leadership roles with several nonprofit and business organizations throughout his career. These experiences reinforce his belief that meaningful leadership is rooted in service, collaboration, and helping others achieve their goals.
Away from the office, Jim enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially near the ocean, traveling to new destinations, and challenging himself on the Peloton. These pursuits reflect the same values he brings to his professional life: lifelong growth, meaningful relationships, and making the most of every opportunity.
